Web hosting renewal prices compared: 2 to 5.4 times the intro price in 2026

We compared web hosting renewal prices on the entry shared plans of seven major hosts in October 2026. Renewals ran from two to 5.4 times the intro price, and the gap differs between the US, the UK and India.

  • The entry shared plan at seven major hosts renewed at between 2.0 and 5.4 times its intro price in October 2026, with a middle reading of 2.9 times on US-dollar pages.
  • Hostinger's Single plan on its UK page had the steepest rise at 436%, while IONOS had the smallest at 100% in both the US and the UK.
  • Bluehost's Starter plan rises 75% at renewal in India, against 150% in the US and 236% in the UK.
