Our Wix review is based on the plans, refund terms and features Wix publishes, as our editorial team has not tested it. Wix pairs a drag-and-drop editor with a new AI builder, Wix Harmony, gives paid plans a free domain for the first year and backs new plans with a 14-day money-back guarantee. The cheapest paid plan cannot take payments, so anyone planning to sell should look at Core or above.
Strengths on paper
- Free plan with no credit card needed, so you can build before you pay
- 14-day money-back guarantee on new monthly and yearly Premium plans
- Paid plans include a free domain voucher for the first year
- Wix Harmony mixes AI page building with drag and drop on the same plans
- Storage runs from 2 GB on Light to unlimited on Business Elite
Weaknesses on paper
- Light, the cheapest paid plan, cannot accept payments or run a store
- Sites are capped at 100 static pages
- Wix Harmony is English-only for now and does not allow custom code
- The pricing page shows yearly prices only and no renewal prices

Fit
Who it suits
Choose Wix if
Choose Wix if you want to start free, design pages by hand or with AI, and add bookings, events or a shop later from one dashboard. It also suits US and UK sellers who want to use Wix's own payment service.
Look elsewhere if
Look elsewhere if you need more than 100 static pages or want to see renewal prices before you buy. Sellers in India cannot use Wix Payments and must connect a local provider such as Razorpay instead.
Questions people ask
Is Wix free to use?
Yes. Wix has a free plan that needs no credit card and comes with up to 500MB of storage. To connect your own domain and remove Wix branding you need a Premium plan.
Does Wix give refunds?
Wix offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on new Premium plans, whether you pay monthly or yearly. Renewals, upgrades of an existing plan and domain purchases are not covered.
Which Wix plan should I choose?
Core is the lowest plan that can accept payments and run a basic online store, and it includes 50 GB of storage. Light suits simple sites that sell nothing, while Business and Business Elite add more storage, fuller eCommerce tools and more collaborators.
What is Wix Harmony?
Wix Harmony is the AI website builder Wix launched in January 2026. You describe your business to a built-in AI agent called Aria, then refine the result with drag and drop, on the same plans as the classic editor. It is English-only for now, rolling out gradually and does not support custom code.
Is Wix fast?
We have not measured Wix speed ourselves, and we found no recent independent speed test to show here. Real speed depends heavily on your design, the images you add and the apps you install.
Can I use Wix in India?
Yes. Wix lists rupee prices for India, but Wix Payments is not offered there. Indian sellers connect a local provider instead, such as Razorpay, Cashfree Payments or PayU Biz India.
